This blog will surely make you feel at home. For us, the Excel users who are habituated with its ribbon, Power BI was a little difficult at first. Getting familiar with the tabs and their contents took a little time.
But recently, Microsoft updated the Power BI ribbon which is very similar to Excel. This is how it looks
We have the Insert Tab which has options like text boxes, buttons, shapes, visuals, etc. which is very similar to the MS Excel tab.
Next is the View Tab. which has options like text boxes, buttons, shapes, visuals, etc. which is very similar to the MS Excel tab.
Another cool feature of this ribbon is when a table is clicked in the Fields pane on the right, Table tools tab appears. Wow!! Just like Excel.
When a column/measure is clicked then we have the Column/Measure tools tab.
It looks so simple, neat and easy to navigate.
Power BI does get updated on its own if installed from the store. If PBID is installed manually then download the latest version from this link here.
Then Go to File > Options & Settings > Options > Preview Features > Check the box for Updated Ribbon.
So we hope you got the “feel at home” phrase. To Fun, Learning, and Happiness.
